The Fair Hill Training Center is located in Cecil County, Maryland, just 10
minutes off I-95, midway between Philadelphia, PA and Baltimore, MD on
350 acres of land leased from the State of Maryland. An additional 5,600
acres of preserved state land, formerly the estate of William DuPont, adjoin
the property. Horses are easily transported to East Coast tracks to race,
without obligation to the individual Racing Secretaries. Delaware Park is
closest in proximity; Laurel, Pimlico, Philadelphia Park, Monmouth,
Meadowlands, Belmont, Aqueduct, and Saratoga, to name a few, are within easy
shipping distance. DIRECTIONS
FROM THE NORTH: Take I-95 South or
the New Jersey Turnpike South into Delaware. Continue on I-95
through toll booth into Maryland. Take the first Maryland exit,
Route 279 South to Elkton, not Newark, DE. Follow to 3rd Traffic
Light. Turn Right on Route 213 North. Go approximately 8 miles
to 1st Traffic Light (Junction of Route 213 and Route 273).
Continue across Route 273. Entrance to the Fair Hill Training
Center is 1/4 mile on your right.
DIRECTIONS FROM THE
SOUTH: Take I-95 North from
Baltimore. After paying the toll at the Susquehanna River Toll
Booth, go approximately 7 miles to the second exit after the
toll booth, Route 272 North East/Rising Sun. Take Route 272
North about 5 miles until you come to the traffic light at the
intersection of Route 272 and Route 273. Turn right on Route 273
East towards Newark, DE. go 5 miles to the traffic light at the
intersection of Route 273 and Route 213. Turn left on Route 213
North. Entrance to the Fair Hill Training Center is 1/4 mile on
your right. |
